Our Friday the 13th
Tonight Travis sat down to do our taxes and as he was putting information in the computer he realized that the Utah Highway Patrol has never taken Federal Taxes out of his checks for the past year!!! Isn't that illegal? You have to take that out, what were they thinking!! So needless to say we are going to have to pay a lot of money for our Federal Taxes that were never taken out. Oh and we have to wait until Tuesday to talk to anyone because Monday is a holiday. Oh wait and we already booked a cruise thinking we would pay for it with our tax return!!! Can it get any worse? Happy weekend at our house. I hope everyone else had a better Friday the 13th then we did.

That is truly awful.
i think something like that happened to me once, but i was a single girl so it probably wasn't quite so bad. what happened is my employer marked as if i was someone else's dependant, so it wasn't illegal, it was just horrible! i think i nearly broke even, but definitely did NOT get the return i was desperate for!

Taryn...this happened to us. They were not taking out any taxes out of my paycheck...BAD Now we owe ALOT! It sucks I know. That's funny because we were planning a cruise from the first time home buyers tax rebate but DAn found out that it's only for people that bought their home after April 2008 and we purchased ours in March..BUMMER

That is terrible! :( You have to be so on top of everything these days. It get's overwhelming doesn't it.
